During our weekly grocery store trip, Jack and I were going down the aisle and approached a woman pushing her daughter (probably 3 yrs old) in a cart while her older son (maybe 5) walked beside. Right as we were passing, Jack pointed his finger less than a foot from the little girls face and yelled "Dog!"....what to do? I, of course, kept walking as if he said nothing. I heard the little boy say to his mom, "That baby just called her a dog!" How to explain 'dog' is Jack's favorite word? Anything I had to offer would have just been weird and too much explanation. I had kind of hoped they wouldn't understand what he said, but no such luck.
